Come be a part of our great family-friendly club.  Our vision for our Junior & Youth players is to provide positive experiences, in a fun and safe environment while providing a pathway to grow within the sport. You can also support our Senior Men's & Women's teams at the base of Te Pane o Mataoho / Mangere Mountain, the most scenic view in Auckland, where you can enjoy the great social atmosphere.

Club Vacancies

Onehunga Mangere United AFC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Under 23s Coach to join our club. As a club with a rich history and a commitment to developing young talent, we are looking for an individual who can inspire and guide our up-and-coming players to reach their full potential.​​​​​​​

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement training programs for the Under 23s team.

- Plan and execute effective match strategies to enhance team performance and achieve desired results.

- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players.

- Collaborate closely with the Director of Football and the 1st Team Head Coach to ensure a seamless integration of coaching philosophies and player development pathways.

- Provide regular feedback and support to players, helping them identify areas for improvement and setting individual goals.

- Attend club meetings, coaching workshops, and other relevant events to stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and trends.

Requirements:

- Minimum C License

- Previous coaching experience, preferably with youth or development teams.

- Strong knowledge of the game, including current coaching methodologies and player development principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young players.

- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as per training and match schedules.
